What is the rules of first letter’s composition? What does it mean – “invitation letter”?

The first letter as first impression determines most things in your future relations with your pen friends.
How do usually people write a first letter?
“Hi! How are you? Lets be friends”

Let's meditate about the principles of the first letter-invitation.

1. Greetings
In first strings of your letter insert name of your friend – It's extremely important. If you don't know the name of your pen pal why do you want communicate with him?

3. Motivation.
